Discover Twenty-Nine Latest Cards from Magic's TMNT Set (Including a Commander-Style Precon Deck!)

The world's favorite pizza-loving superheroes are coming to Magic: The Gathering. The well-known TCG's company, the game's creators, unveiled a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion during a exclusive event held at New York Comic Con. Could this be a radical addition or simply another Universes Beyond cash grab? We'll let you decide.

Take a look here at all the details revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, along with some useful background. Everything listed below launches on March 6, 2026, with one exception — a special Pizza Bundle drops a couple of weeks after on March 27th.

MTG x TMNT: Core Set Cards

Before diving into all the various special decks and bundles available, we’ll examine at the full lineup from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by Wizards. Standard booster packs for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while premium boosters are priced at $37.99 per booster.

Let’s explore a few surprising features. To begin, there's a new mechanic named Sneak, which is a riff on the already established Ninjutsu ability, where gamers can play big creatures onto the game field whenever an attacker goes unblocked. The big difference in this case is that Sneak can affect non-creature spells too. Wizards also used this chance to refine the mechanic a bit (Sneak counts as casting, unlike Ninjutsu). Ninjutsu isn't going away, but it's more likely we'll see the new mechanic in upcoming expansions from now on.

Should we go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that's where it originated and it’s a hallmark of that world,” a senior game designer explained. “However on other planes, because the mechanics are smoother and Sneak will be Standard-legal, it's more likely that we'd use Sneak.”

Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai card, is among four cards with special art created exclusively for the expansion by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator the co-creator.

Additionally, should you be surprised by the card text on Turtles Forever, which allows playing game cards outside of your deck, so was I. Yet as per the developers, that's now a official card in every format of Magic.

Anyway, below are the extremely bizarre full-art lands from the TMNT set:

Following Wizards of the Coast's existing guidelines, these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard play. The designers state they took care to make sure the new cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.

“I headed the development for over a year and we were aware it would be in standard and which sets were going to be alongside it in standard,” the designer commented. “We designed to make sure that there's synergy with some of those sets like Edge of Eternities.”

As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red strategy focused on artifact cards.

“They combine to offer the components for a fun Standard-legal deck,” the designer says.

Commander Deck: Turtle Power!

Following a decision to create any pre-constructed Commander decks for Spider-Man and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, the company is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just one precon, but it does come with six distinct legendary cards that can serve as your Commander based on how you combine them (five cards have a special Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that allows starting with two of them in the command zone rather than only one). Take a look below:

The Turtle Power precon is set at $69.99, though the price may rise based on demand. Wizards told that it includes 43 brand-new cards in total, which translates to an extra thirty-seven Turtle-themed game cards besides the six legendary creatures shown earlier. (Doing some rough math, this suggests approximately 20 reprints if we estimate the deck includes 37 lands.)

What will the Turtles edition of Sol Ring appear? Fans must wait and find out.

TMNT Bundle (Regular)

As per usual, the company is offering a bundle. This one costs $69.99 and includes the listed items:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • Fifteen Foil land cards
  • 15 Regular basic lands
  • Two helper cards
  • One Traditional foil promotional card
  • 1 Oversized spindown life counter
  • 1 Card-storage box

Pizza Bundle

Here’s a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, mostly in that it is packaged in a box resembling a pizza box. Each pizza-themed bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the items below:

  • Nine Standard Boosters
  • One Premium Booster
  • Twenty-five Non-foil pizza-themed lands
  • Five Traditional foil pizza basic lands
  • 2 Foil pizza bundle promotional cards
  • 2 helper cards
  • One Large spindown life counter
  • One Card-storage box

If you’re wondering what a “Pizza Bundle promo card” means, it’s basically a reprinted older card with brand-new TMNT artwork. The team revealed an example for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter adding toppings on a pizza. In total, there are six different Pizza Bundle promo cards available.

The Pizza Bundle releases a couple of weeks later than the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Bundle

This special bundle is made for a four-person draft and costs $119.99. It includes:

  • 12 Play Boosters (ideal for a group of four to draft)
  • One Collector Booster (aka, the reward for coming in first)
  • 90 Non-foil land cards (for building your draft deck)
  • Ten Non-foil token cards
  • 1 drafting guide (a one-sheet instruction sheet to drafting the set)

Turtle Team-Up

Lastly, the developers are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its ongoing effort to develop Magic game products specifically for beginners. Here, Turtle Team-Up is a special set of prebuilt decks that let you and a friend team up against a “Boss” enemy deck that plays automatically.

The general idea here that every Boss card gives special abilities to the creatures contained in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically plays an additional card each turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
